Our Team
We have built a large network of specialists to rely on, and we heavily invest in them. People are the main asset at HumanTranslation as you can see from its name, and we value their skills and capabilities.
How we choose translators
In one word, we do so very carefully. We are always open to working with outstanding people who are ready to go far beyond the basic skill of replacing the words in one language with those from another one. You cannot take just any person who knows two languages to be a translator!
In fact, translation as an art is a complicated process of rendering the text in one language in the target language in a special way: as a result, you should get a text that produces the same impression and has the same meaning as the original.
You’ve probably tried reading two different translations of one foreign book, and you liked one of them more. As you see, the process is not as simple as it might seem.
So we only work with translators who are aware of all these complexities and have gone a long way from simply translating a text, sentence by sentence, to seeing its structure, rhythm, mood, and many other parameters, and can render as many parameters in the target text as possible.
Our experienced editors will see the difference at once! And you will get high-quality translation even if you are not a specialist to appreciate it. However, this is a part of our commitment to you as a customer.
This is the philosophy of translation, but we surely rely on some more prosaic things. Here are some other criteria our translators should comply with:
- Have all the necessary credentials which allow them to translate/interpret
- Have documents that confirm their specialization in a particular area (work experience, a second degree, training certificate, etc.)
- Be disciplined enough to meet the deadlines
- Be able to follow the customer’s guidelines, style guides, glossaries, etc.
- Have positive feedback from editors/customers
- Be committed to providing high-quality work
And we have a team that satisfies all these requirements! What is more, we always keep them toned by providing feedback from editors and sending their work for peer review from time to time.
Competitive Prices
We know that businesses are sometimes on a tight budget, and we will try to keep within the budget allocated – never to the detriment of quality, though. We at HumanTranslation reduce the cost to a minimum by optimizing the work processes.
And still, we recommend customers who order important documents from us never to save on costs. We do have good translators, but your document should undergo a full quality assurance process (that we will describe later on) to be impeccable. And while you may not need that for internal documentation, your marketing materials and important contracts should be checked twice to be on the safe side. So our tip is never to save on editors and proofreaders if your business reputation may be at stake.
Quality Assurance
One translator is almost never enough to yield a high-quality translation. Why is it? Here are some reasons for that:
- If you read the text multiple times, you inevitably lose the freshness of vision. This happens to ordinary people and professionals alike! A good way to deal with it is to put the text aside for several days, but translators usually don’t have this time. So the text is given to the editor.
- Each person has a unique way of expressing himself or herself. However, the primary purpose of translation is to produce a text that will be clearly understood by as many people as possible. That’s why it is checked by at least two more people, the editor and the proofreader, to get rid of any unclear places.
- Translators are humans, and they get tired. The human attention span is not a perfect thing by itself. However, three attention spans yield an accurate text in 100% of cases.
We hope that these reasons are strong enough to show you why the TEP process (translating, editing, proofreading) is the gold standard of the translation industry! This is simply the minimum required to eliminate all the mistakes, from simple typos to major cultural issues.
Translators render the text in another language, trying to preserve the original meaning, style, message, and any other peculiarities. This is a difficult task by itself, and it means that some aspects may be lost.
Editors polish the text to make it look naturally flowing, consistent, culturally appropriate, and compliant with many other criteria that only editors know about!
Proofreaders will clean up any minor debris left after the editor’s interference if they find any! Typos, grammatical mistakes, or omissions will be dealt with at this final stage.
This fine process is available on a 24/7 basis. Contact us today if you need high-quality services!
Areas of Expertise
A translator who can translate anything is nonsense. The quality will never be up to the mark in this case as medical and psychology texts translation, for instance, requires different skills. We will never assign a translation to a specialist who claims to be well-versed in any sphere. Your project will go to a person competent in your field.
We have wonderful medical, technical, literary, financial, and legal translators to rely on. They know the common abbreviations, jargon, speech patterns, and common expressions used in a particular area. This means that the source text will be understood correctly, and the text in the target language will sound natural for the audience you specified.
We at HumanTranslation will do our best to find an expert in a particular subject matter for you on a 24/7 basis. Contact our manager to discuss the details.
Localization
Do you need texts for the global audience or do you have a specific community in mind? In the second case, you will need localization of your text, and we have specialists who can do that for you:
- Portuguese spoken in Brazil and Portugal are two different languages for the purposes of localization, but we will find a specialist with a relevant background.
- Do you need texts in English? Global English is one thing, and the English spoken in the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States, and New Zealand will require different translators, too.
- Even Hebrew, which seems to be a monolith, should be different for the US community and for Israel.
In any case, we at HumanTranslation will find a translator that matches your needs best of all in terms of cultural or linguistic background.
Package Services
Are you going to arrange an event with the participation of international guests? You will need a lot of linguistic support, including translation and interpreting services. This is a special request that is always handled in a unique way, and we can offer a package for you to cover all your needs. Whether you need consecutive or simultaneous translation, video materials with subtitles, brochures, or hand-outs, HumanTranslation can be your 24/7 trusted partner for all your projects.

What makes a good translation? First of all, a high-quality source text. If this is a marketing piece of translation, for instance, and the original seems to convey some vague message that is hard to understand for the translator, it will be just as vague for the reader. Therefore, the customer should be prepared to work on the text to get a really good translation, and the translator should be ready to ask the customer to do so. This will make cooperation really beneficial – contrary to the “I-need-the-translation-quickly” approach that may not bear the fruit you want.
Ask the client about the country for which the translation is intended. The Arabic dialect required for Saudi Arabia will differ from the one appropriate for Egypt or Lebanon.
Most Arabic translations will require transcreation due to major cultural differences between English and Arab countries.
The target audience will determine the level of formality required in Arabic texts, so be sure to find out all the required information from the client.
The more important the translation, the higher quality should be agreed upon with the customer. High quality is achieved by editing, sometimes by several editors; it may add up to the cost, but it will finally pay off.
